Max Clouth is a guitarist who plays many kinds of improvised music.
Starting with classical guitar training, he changed to violin for 5 years to finally return to the guitar at age of 15.

He played and composed for the rock band KISMET which played numerous concerts and received a nomination in an international band contest. At the same time Max composed pieces for solo guitar and small ensembles; one of his compositions for guitar and orchestra was performed in 2004 as his final school project.
In 2004 Max also started to perform with various jazz, blues and rock artists.
In 2005 Max enrolled at the Mainz University to study jazz guitar, classical guitar, bass and arranging with guitarists Marc Oliver Klenk, Norbert Scholly, bass player Ralf Cetto and pianist Jesse Milliner.
