In the late 1990s, Mayur woke up one morning to a new life. Afflicted by a viral curiosity pertaining to the lengths and the extents to which he could take his music, he became a DJ.
Doctors believed his brain to have undergone a drastic distortion and his nervous circuits overly electrified. Because those were the days when the Indian youth was happy grooving to the ‘remix-overload’ age.

Mayur launched himself in the maddening market of musicians by playing bizarrely exhilarating music and then gave himself an even more peculiar name.

Private Sochalay consisting of himself and Udyan(ex-bandishprojekt), friends sharing the same interest, later became Bandish Projekt.

Today, Bandish projekt is a solo effort,the sound of Bandish Projekt is as familiar as it is new. As chaotic as it is calm. Infused with the right amount of classical. Maddened by the right content of frenzy. An experiment in sound. An evolution in music. A phenomenon that will force you to sit up and take notice. It is about the music of sound.
