Once in a while you get a great voice (Wanny), and when you add to that a concert pianist from Russia (Svetlana) and a well-travelled percussionist (Suchet), good things can only get groovier!
Swing, bossa-nova, samba and bolero—the Wanny Angerer Trio performs jazz standards with a Latin twist. Classics like Girl from Ipanema and traditional Garifuna and Yoruba songs together with a robust set of instrumentals and an original percussion set-up—jazz has never travelled this far around the world!
The trio has performed at New Delhi’s best venues, including the Smokehouse Grill, the Crowne Plaza and the Russian Cultural Centre. They were also the highlight of the Jazzmandu festival in Kathmandu, Nepal in 2008.
